Burnley sign France Under-20 forward Wilson Odobert on a five-year deal
Burnley have signed France Under-20 forward Wilson Odobert from Troyes for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Turf Moor and becomes the club's second summer signing following the arrival of Scott Twine from MK Dons.
Odobert is a highly-rated young forward who has been capped by France at Under-19 and Under-20 level.
He scored four goals in 33 appearances for Troyes in Ligue 1 last season and helped them avoid relegation.
Odobert is a versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front line.
He is a good dribbler and passer, and he has an eye for goal.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is delighted to have signed Odobert.
"Wilson is a young player with great potential," Kompany said.
"He is a versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front line.
He is a good dribbler and passer, and he has an eye for goal.
I am sure he will be a valuable addition to our squad."
Odobert is looking forward to playing for Burnley.
"I am very happy to join Burnley," Odobert said.
"This is a great club with a lot of history and tradition.
I am looking forward to working with the manager and the players, and I hope I can help the club achieve success."
