Arizona Wins Fourth Straight, Improves to 7-5
Trailing 4-1 in the sixth inning, the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied for six runs to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 Wednesday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
Bumgarner Earns First Win
Madison Bumgarner earned the win in his second start of the season. The veteran left-hander allowed four runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings, striking out four and walking two. He improved to 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA.
Offense Comes Alive in Sixth
The Diamondbacks' offense came alive in the sixth inning, scoring six runs on five hits and two walks. Carson Kelly's two-run single gave Arizona the lead for good, and Geraldo Perdomo added a two-run homer later in the inning.
Bullpen Shuts Down Brewers
The Diamondbacks' bullpen shut down the Brewers' offense over the final 3 2/3 innings. Ian Kennedy, J.B. Bukauskas, and Mark Melancon combined to allow just one hit and strike out four.
Perdomo's Homer Lifts D-Backs
